Proper Printing

My name is Jón Schone and I come up with crazy ideas which I try to make real. You won't guess my next project ;) For business inquiries, use the email below. Visit my website for more information and all other communication.
I pushed the Creality K1 beyond its limits with this simple mod!
Download Opera for free: opr.as/Opera-browser-properprinting
In this video I show how I make the Creality K1, an already fast printer, even faster! It started with the problem that the stock extruder was unable to print and it had severe under extrusion. I didn't want this printer to be a glorified paper weight, so I decided to modify it so it would fit practically any extruder. I used the Bondtech QR which is a huge extruder which made it possible to really push that filament!

#ad Thanks PCBWay for sponsoring this project! Check out their services here: pcbway.com/g/owRi6j In this video I show the process of building a different type of 3D printer that has 2 tools that move independent from each other. This is different from an IDEX-system for instance. Where an IDEX is only independent in one axis, the system I developed is independent in all axes. Therefore I'm cal...
A grill plate as base for a 3D printer?
Переглядів 121 тис.5 місяців тому
In this video I show how I use an 1800W grill plate as a bed heater for a 3D printer. I think this makes sense because they're cheap, widely available and come in different sizes. Another advantage for me is the long shape which I'm going to utilize by letting it print like a belt printer and adding more gantries which will enable some interesting possibilities! I (mis)used the xTool P2 CO2 las...

You should make a hollow screen for your wall, I think it’d help with designing and instruction
2 printers 1 bed doesn't have the same ring to it
As someone constantly on UA-cam, I really liked the way you integrated the ad. I never even thought about skipping it until it was over, and I honestly feel like I took a lot of what you said in even though I've seen dozens of PCB way placements before. It was just nice to have something to focus on that didn't feel forced, goofy, and never felt like it stopped the flow of the video. Just really good job
can you make it in a cylindrical format where the 2 heads can rotate around each other so in theory they could print over the top of each others print?
You have to patent the shit out of this!
Cool
I firmly believe this is not the next step in 3D printing. It's seriously cool. But the only problem it improves on is print speed through two independent print heads. And not by much, because slicers don't support this yet (I may be wrong) and it takes almost as much space as two separate printers (meaning you could just print two parts on two printers in parallel). For different toolheads, tool changers are way better.
I love your stuff. Please never stop as you are in inspiration to so many of us 😊
CONFIGURE DAMM JERK AND ACCELERATIONS. YOU ARE RUNNING STEPPPER MOTORS AT FULL AMPERAGE ON DIRECTION CHANGE. JERK IS MAXIMUM VELOCITY CHANGE IN MM/S THAT PRINTHEAD CAN MAKE. Edit: Czech citizen doing Service/RMA for PRUSA because you guy destroy our printers.
Tip: I noticed the last screw you tightened on the heating bed was in the middle of one end (at least your editing made it seem so). Instead, you should snug up the screws from inside out, tightening each a little bit at a time to allow any inconsistencies to work themselves out as you progress. Great video, so far. You've earned another subscriber.
Pretty impressive, Bubba. Tinkering on a whole new level!!
In my opinion, the D1 has the potential to be an outstanding unit that'll just flat beat anything else available, but falls short in so many unnecessary and goofy ways. I'd LOVE to know how yours is doing after all this time and/ or anything else you've done to it since this video (also, i have BTT SKR V1.4 Turbo and SKR Mini E3 V3.0 Control Board, should I use one of these or keep original board?). I'm a HUGE fan of your channel and videos, but your mechanical and analytical thought process is what keeps me coming back for more. Thank you, sir.
6:10 Ah yes. The bit I was waiting for. The epic fails that we all have to push through and that make the final result so, so worth while. Well done bro.
So... I had the same idea, except bigger.
I love this video.
hello from australia and thank you!
cool video u can use your drill press to hold the tap and hand turn the chuck it will keep everything straight
Dude THIS IS TOO AWESOME. What a genius idea i cant wait to see what you do with it!
It looks awesome lmaoo RRRRGGGGGBBBBBBBB
Looks sweet man I love this extruder and i can't wait to eventually try it out for myself. You're awesome dude!
I wouldn't mind following a CAD course done by you for Fusion360. Maybe even in Dutch lol. most are boring or just steamrolling trough all the possible stuff, without keeping in mind there's users just starting out trying to desing a practical part. ALSO: holy shit your production quality has gone to the moon since I last checked you channel! Well done sir! congrats on 100K subs!
Subbed and notified. Now teach me and my 7!year old daughter everything we need to know about our printer
fantastic!!!!
THIS IS SO COOL!!
I loved that you showed the design process. Please release the course!! I'd pay money for it
I would love a video about your updates on this machine. What's wrong, what's not good. What you do to fix it... Simplified it and all that stuff Good job
народ годами переводил боуден на директ, чтобы улучшить качество, уменьшить время печати ТС поставил на К1 боуден.... ВТФ???
Great work. Don't listen to the negative comments. Those people have never done anything innovative.
Impressive build
Where can I signup for the Beta Test bro? 🤔
I just thought of this idea, And you beat me to it .👍 I was thinking tank tracks ,more traction . Maybe brushless motor is instead of stepper motors for extruder would be lighter and more accurate with an encoder
whats the blue stuff you put on the screws?
That's Loctite threadlocker that prevents the screws from going loose while it's still possible to unscrew them.
what a beast u are
I think the reason it warps so much is because the lip on the edge heats up less so as the main part heats and expands the lip doesnt get as hot and thus doesn't expand so much. So it warps it
where you from? you have a dutch accent
Just one question: why don't you show the print result at the end of the video?
weirdly I thought I seen this video over a year ago
I dig the LTT screw driver
First i read the title, almost didn't click because of the clickbait, then i read the channel, realizing this will be good. Edit to make the comment constructive: "this simple" -> "ultralight bowden", would have clicked 10 days ago.
Nice video. But I have no idea what you just made - except that it looks like two 3d printers merged. I hope you make a video that shows the potential of the machine...
First youtuber I've seen that even considers the danger of cutting carbon fiber
👍
Do you have an allergy to brass?
No, the brass is allergic to me😆 The fingerprints get dark quickly and make the surface look uneven and ugly.
amazing very hard work
I find the machine chosen to prototype the parts for your prototyping machine to be somewhat telling. It seems that you already have a really great prototyping machine 😜
These are machines for the real and final parts😉
Isn't that an LTT screwdriver?
theoretical upgrade, if you had these extruders on single arm (on each side 1), then they can go over each other during printing. so one extruder can go on other side.
This is just two 3d printers bolted together
Would love to watch your CAD design tutorials!
I smell Dutch
